Physical Activities


BuggyGym is perfect for mums to help with postnatal health and fitness, exercise with your baby in the buggy. We’ll be indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. Have fun getting fit, meet new mums and their babies. Sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9.30-10.30am at Gate55, Sighthill Road, EH11 4PB.


Not got much time to exercise? Duo is 30 mins of fun exercise and you can bring your child too, who will play alongside the group at the same time, so they can see exercise is a natural part of family life. Suitable for anyone of any fitness ability. You don’t need to be a gym member. We work out in pairs to encourage each other – and make new friends! Sessions run at E4L Westside Plaza, Wester Hailes Road, EH14 2SW.

Women’s Aerobics: 

If you need some motivation to get more active – come and join our free exercise session! The class is open to all, and we aim to make the class just right for everyone. You don’t need special clothes, just wear lose comfortable clothing, and trainers, and we will provide any equipment needed. The sessions are open to everyone – please come along and try one! Chair Exercise: 

Chair exercise is a friendly group activity with seated exercise to popular music. Suitable for older people and people with mobility issues. Sessions take place every Wednesday 11.15am-12.15pm at St David’s Church Hall, EH11 3RH. The sessions are suitable and accessible for mobility vehicles and wheelchair users.

Walking Group: 

Not been exercising for a while? Come and join us for a free, short health walk at a gentle pace with a trained walk leader – get fit, meet new people & have fun! The walks explore different local areas. They take place every Friday morning 10-11am, from the Fruit & Vegetable Shop.
