This month saw the first meeting of the new Scottish Food Commission, which aims to develop the national policy for food and drink, ultimately helping Scotland become a Good Food Nation, and improve the country’s attitude to eating fresh and healthy produce. We were delighted to be asked to be the focus for a film to show what can be achieved at a community level. Following some very quick and efficient filming and editing by the Scottish Government – we now have another great film about us, and it went down very well at the meeting, and will be used at other Scottish Government events.
Our shop continues to be a bustling friendly place, and Donna, one of our volunteers, who is with us on her College placement, did a customer survey over a few consecutive Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s this month. The result has been a survey of over 60 customers, who are helping us to determine that what we do is what the local community wants and needs.
