Over the Easter break we ran another couple of holiday sessions “Cooking with Kids”, always really popular as it give parents’ confidence to cook from scratch with their kids – and they all enjoyed the tasty results together!

Our Time Bank’s ‘Spring Fling’ held at The Broomhouse Centre was a fabulous social event with 15 local people enjoying a skill share of fun and relaxation. Time Bank members and friends offered relaxation therapies with head, hand and shoulder massage, flower craft, braiding, nail painting and a history chat offered a fascinating insight into the Suffragette movement.

Towards the end of the month we held a Meet & Greet Open Day at our Fruit and Veg Shop and back office, to encourage local people as well as workers from partner organisations to come along to find out about all the services we offer. It was a great day with over 40 people coming along to chat, and the place was really buzzing with chat and happy faces! We even had some cooking of tasty carrot cake muffins going on – and they were much enjoyed! A really worthwhile day, as it brought new faces to us, and our new term of cooking, aerobics, chair exercises and walking groups will be even more busy!
